Before, after, and in between excursions there was plenty of entertainment on the ship. We went to a few different game shows, which were so much fun. One of the last nights they had Marriage Match. One of Mark's sisters secretly put Ralph & Shirley in the drawing and they were selected as the "veteran couple".
It was hilarious and we learned a lot about Ralph and "Shirley Pops". Gary was the perfect host to get these two to loosen up and have fun with it. They were literally celebrities for the remainder of the cruise.
When they thought they were going to enjoy the show from the comfort of the audience .... ha ;)
The Explorers Lounge where many of the shows took place. Perfectly tacky in a cruise ship kind of way.
Movies by the pool. Both were not appealing to us on this cruise.

We found ourselves on a tour of the kitchen one afternoon. It was really kind of cool to see where they produce the massive amounts of food [although none of that was actually happening at the time]. They had displays of ice sculptures and food art along the way. At the end we were led into a room filled with merchandise for sale. Like a giant flea market of previous cruises/port memorabilia.
It was unexpected and weird.

Watching The Voice of the Ocean ~ second audition. The Bogenschutz and us got invested and went to all three shows/finale throughout the cruise. The ultimate winner ended up being a kid from Fort Collins.

A little meet and greet on the morning of disembarkation.
We went into this thinking we weren't really cruise people. Having gone, I can definitely see the appeal. I do believe that it had everything to do with Alaska and the people we cruised with. I honestly LOVED it!! I would book this same cruise again in a minute .. with the same people if they would go. It will go down as one of my all time favorite vacations. We have Ralph & Shirley to thank for making it all happen ❤️
