By Halloween, we were in hybrid mode. I had half of my students M/W and half T/Th. Everyone was remote on Friday. We celebrated Halloween on a Friday ... through our Google Meet. .. it was GROOVY!
We did a virtual version of a costume parade. I asked the kids to join the meet with their camera off. When asked, they gave a three clues about what they were dressed as and then turned their camera on to reveal. THEY. LOVED. IT.
With Halloween being on a Saturday, we had all day to carve pumpkins.
Love that we have pumpkins from our garden.
Our Spooky Dinner was pizza and salad.
Emmrey did some Trick or Treating around the neighborhood with a friend from school, Nevaeh (actually a sister to one of my students;)
Mark and I stayed at home and handed out treats... actually I mostly tried to not get recognized by any students.
Emmrey and I kept the rat surprises going all month.
She sorted through her modest (but plenty) loot.
We had a fair amount of Trick or Treaters considering COVID, which surprised us quite a bit.
Bailee went to a friends to celebrate.
Kars joined us with the groovy theme and went with her roommates to a party. Their other roommate had tested positive for COVID and the rest of them had just been released from quarantine the day before.
