Bug turns 19

Bay's 19th birthday started off almost like all the other 12 hour days she's been working this summer. She leaves for the pool at 8 am and really wanted to sleep in a bit, so I just picked her up a smoothie before she ran out the door.
Her choice for dinner was Big City Burrito. It was nearly 8 pm by the time we ate. Bailee has gotten used to this schedule, but we all felt like we were starving!
Emmrey has really picked up my slack with decorating for birthdays lately. I have lost my groove:/ She did a bit of a Luau theme with what we had. Kars was convinced we had bought Bailee a ticket to Hawaii for her birthday. Ha ......no such luck!

She got an adorable skirt and book from Gpa Wayne & Gma Cheryl and some cash from
Gpa Ralph & Gma Shirley.
 Kars bought her some sweat shorts and Emm picked out some lotion for her.
She had no real wish list (shocker) but she got a few things from us anyway
 {North Face fleece/swimsuits/gym shorts/hat/$$}
We finished the celebration with Bailee's choice of Huckleberry ice cream for her treat. Hard to believe this will be her last year in the "teens". We are so proud of how hard she has worked this summer and know that 19 will bring new adventures for her! We love you the most Bug💗

"Begin with the End in Mind"

Karsyn reluctantly spent a week at Girls Camp mid June. Reluctant might be a mild word for how she felt about going. The funny thing is, all three times we have "made" her go, she seems to have a good time and has lots of stories to share.

This year she was a Youth Counselor so she went up a day early and got things ready.
The girls were able to try out all the activities ...
 She had some fun with the camp nurse. People were really worried about her. Love that she let her sense of humor show;)
 I think going up a day early was good for her. Gave her a chance to bond with the other YC's (as much as she allows herself to "bond" anyway)
 One afternoon they had a hike planned at Vedauwoo. It turned out to be "barely a walk" according to Kars. I was happy to see she complied and wore her pink camp shirt.
The girl has so much to offer. When she can let go of this idea that
"she doesn't have anything in common with them", she surprises herself!
love this one ... thanks to the leaders who captured these pics

This and That {Mar-May}

I completed another long term sub assignment as Math Interventionist/5th grade teacher. That means for a few months I found random notes on my computer  ...
Mark went on a fishing trip to New Mexico with his buddy Scott
He also spent some time with Bailee while in Laramie for AFS meetings
We had some trickery goin' on for April Fool's
Dance pictures were taken
Emmrey was an Ambassador at the Technology Fair at school. She and her friend Jaque manned the table for the 3D printer and had some fun with Twizzlers (you had to be there;)
I snuck over to Laramie to spend an afternoon with my girl
Karsyn's catering class resulted in some experimenting at home. These baguettes were so delish!
It was romper day at school. Not really ... just coordinated by this crew!
Bailee had a weekend visit from Ashlee. They had a fabulous time I hear;)
Date night bike ride along the Poudre River💗
