Our Aggie~Semester 2

Mid January it was time for Kars to head back to USU to start spring semester. We made a long weekend out of it and drove her to Logan.

We did a fair amount of walking around town in the cold.
We picked up Lucky Slice for dinner one night.
Spent time in the hot tub.
Mark and the girls went on a hike up Blacksmith Fork Canyon. I opted to stay warm and not try to navigate a slippery trail.
Dropping her off at her dorm was as hard (or maybe even harder) as in the fall.
I think part of it was she had been home with us for over two months, and part was that all but one her roommates were not coming back due to church missions.
I found myself debating just having her come home. IT. WAS. ROUGH!!
The good news is that despite the difficult separation, she settled back in much quicker than in the fall:) Here's to semester 2 and continued improvement!

Birthday Boy

After the holiday haze wore off, it was time for Marko's birthday. We picked him up some cupcakes downtown.

He wanted wings for dinner so we tried out the Wing-Stop for the first time.
He loved it. I am not a wing lover, but I am pretty particular about my ranch dressing and they passed the test. I would go back just for the veggies and ranch.
He wanted to upgrade his camera so he got Cammy 2 for his birthday.
We ended the night with a sampling of cupcakes.
His other wish was to go hiking. Saturday morning we set off for RMNP to hike to Emerald Lake.
We had lunch in the car at Smokin' Dave's ... one if his favorites in Estes.

Ringin' in 2021

It has become a bit of tradition to Fondue on New Year's Eve. We were all still on break so it was great to be able to ring in 2021 together.

Sometimes the cheese gets a little out of hand.
A Wellington resident put on a firework show that we watched from our porch.
We played some games.
We all stayed up until midnight. That is a big deal. We typically ring it in early.
Toasted in the New Year and called it a night! Looking forward to better days ahead.
