Charley's Angels and Tea

The last weekend in April we headed to Utah for the MS Walk. We usually do one in our area, but this year I had a real hankering for doing it with my fam. With school and work schedules, we weren't able to leave until around 4. The weather was good, but the clouds were looking a bit ominous.
We arrived late Friday and got up early Saturday to head to the Veterans Memorial Park. It ended up being an all girls team.
Even though Grandma wasn't feeling well enough to join us, we were all thinking of her.
Our team was Charley's Angels. Charley was a nickname my mom had as a little girl.
It was a fun time with a whole lot of people. As these things can go, the organization can be a little frustrating. We had to really fight for the shirts that we had earned because they had misplaced some of the fundraising stats.
We were so glad we got to do the walk with my sisters and nieces, but missed having Bay with us!
Later that afternoon, we had a "girls outing" to Auntie Rae's dessert and tea house. It was so fun just having some time with sisters to catch up {wish Mom, Leslie, Jenn and Kristin could have been there}. It was really more desserts than tea ...
It was the cutest little house..... my kind of place!
And the desserts were to die for! This was a little sampling I took back to my parents to share.
While we were walking and eating desserts, Mark was was fishing at Strawberry Reservoir with his brother Kevin.
Since we only had that one full day, we took our time getting on the road Sunday {highly unusual for us}. Emmrey had them captivated with something ....
We made a stop in Laramie in time for dinner with our favorite Cowgirl. Quickest visit ever ... but so worth every minute.

Easter 2019

Easter kicked off with a yummy surprise from Grampa & Gramma.
 Then we got to coloring eggs {or scrolling on phones}
Kars and Emm used some cool techniques and came up with some neat designs this year
 Easter morning brought filled baskets
Emmrey is always thrilled to find those Peeps
I got a little extra special something in my egg that my mom made each of us as kids.
The girls hunted for eggs .... still not too old!
Since Bailee couldn't come home because of her commitment the night before, we decided to go spend the day with her in Laramie.
This was our Easter dinner this year
We had hoped for a walk along the river, but the downpour forced us into a movie instead. The girls and I watched Breakthrough... kind of corny... but based on a true story and a good Jesus movie for Easter. Mark opted out of the movie ...
We got Bay a few groceries and dropped her back off at her dorm. It was certainly a different Easter, but memorable all the same.
