Christmas was in Utah this year. We loaded up to head out on Sunday the 22nd. On Monday morning, the girls helped Grampa with their goody deliveries.

look at all those bags:)
I LOVED that they jumped right in and followed Grampa around the neighborhood with all the gifts.... my parents give to A LOT of people.
Instead of a Christmas Eve hike, we went on a walk along the Jordan River. Bailee was the only one that wanted to join us.
Christmas Eve was at my parents house. We celebrated Kris, Kristy and Dad who have birthdays the 23rd, 24th and 30th.
We didn't jumped back and forth this year so we were able to just enjoy the night from start to finish. That house was filled to the brim with food, noise, people and love.
Once the crowd dwindled, we opened our PJ's.
The girls got all nestled in bed
Christmas morning came about 8:00. We got the girls up to at least open stockings before breakfast at the Smith's around 10:00
I always feel a little unsure if we should wake up my parents or not.
The girls found these in their stockings. Ticket to Disneyland as a bonus day on our trip to the Channel Islands in March.
We got ready and headed over to Gpa and Gma Smith's.
They were showered with all sorts of gifts. We got them watches this year
We stayed for several hours and were able to see all of Kevin & Migdalia's family + a friend, The Bogenschutz', and Tanya was in town too.
When we got back to my parents, the girls were anxious to open their gifts.
Bailee got this memory quilt that was actually something I had wanted to do for her Graduation, but hadn't gotten around to it. I had a local gal make it with various shirts of Bailee's I had been saving. She LOVED it!

My favorite part is seeing what the girls picked for each other.
Kars got a hat/sunglasses/socks from Bay, and socks/face mask/candy from Emm.
Bay got blue-light glasses/mug from Kars, and ear cuffs/face mask/candy from Emm

cannot wait to use that mixer Mark got for me:)
Shana, and Ashlee/ey came over later to open some gifts. We had a few gifts to give my parents too. We gave my mom a "hydroflask" water bottle, and weighted blanket (the giant bag of mints was from my dad .... she was incredibly thrilled about those ... for real;)
We took a chance this year and gave my dad a bird feeder, seed and a Bird Book.
We also gave them their 2020 calendar.
It was fun to watch Shana and Ashlee open a few gifts and try to guess what print or color theirs would be.
Ashley was included in the mix this year too.
Leslie didn't make it over on Christmas day, but we picked her up the following day so she could come open her gifts.
There was some puzzling over the holiday of course.
We also planned a girls night to go see Little Women.
These are the little women (and men) that were able to join us.

Doesn't my dad look thrilled!
There was lots of chit chat around the house❤️ I have to mention how happy it made my heart to see Kars so attentive. This has not always been her nature as she has a tendency to lose interest quickly. I loved seeing her sit with my momma.
We planned of food court and bowling at VF. It felt surprisingly nostalgic even though most of it looks very different. It still brings back those familiar feelings.

Bowling League in the making
The less serious crowd;)
Had a few too many of these on our morning walks around our old stomping grounds.

something special about those Harmon's maple bars
This was basically priority one for our trip to Utah
Showed the grandparents how to find the girls You Tube channels again and got sucked in ... which is pretty easy to do.
Our last night we made a trip downtown to see the lights. We rode TRAX
Grabbed a bite at Gateway
And walked around Temple Square. We had to head home the next morning for Bailee to meet her work obligations. It was a shorter trip than any of us would wish for, but it was magical and merry nevertheless.
