While we were having the time of our lives in Alaska, Kars and Emm were doing the same at Girls Camp;) Truthfully, Karsyn dreads this so much. It was Emmrey's first year, so it made me happy that she was willing to suck it up and have this experience with her little sis. These two had just experienced a pretty traumatic event, with my mom getting sick and leaving very abruptly. With a sudden change of plans, they were on their own to get off to camp. Thank goodness for my friend Erica, who came and picked them up. This is the picture they sent the morning they left.
This is the picture my friend sent me. They hide their feelings well;)
I had begged them to take a camera (not phone) and take pictures for me. Emmrey was a great little photographer and I got more than I expected.
According to the girls, our ward was on cooking and cleaning duty for every meal ...hmmm?
They did a little crafting. And some journaling too ... Karsy's favorite.
The story here is that they were extremely stingy with the cream cheese in the mornings.
A little Yoga action going on .... not sure if the girls were lurking in the trees or being antisocial?
They were gone for three nights and three days, and Kars would have you believe it was the worst time of her life. The funny stories they tell and the things they laugh about, lead me to believe different. I am so proud of their ability to make the best of a less than ideal situation and love seeing and hearing how they took care of each other.
