Witches Tea

I kinda love Halloween. We try to have a Halloween party of some sort every year. This year it was tricky because the last couple of months have been super busy. We managed to figure out a date and made it happen. Emmrey invited eight little friends for a Witches Tea (Kars declined my offer to invite friends)
We got the place all set for the arrival of the witches. One of her friends doesn't celebrate Halloween, but Emmrey really wanted her to come. Before we planned the party, Emmrey talked to her about whether she could join us if it was "witch themed". She said it would be fine ... so we went with it hoping for the best and she ended up coming. Emmrey was so happy!
The first thing they did was make a Witch Potion. Our version was bath salts so they could actually use it.
Some of them went a little heavy with the food coloring so hopefully we don't have any stained bathtubs;)
We then ate a light dinner with witch themed foods ... it was a Tea after all.
The Witches Brew was especially tasty!
I made this delicious (at least I think) chicken salad for the Sand Witches and not one single girl had it on their croissant. I should have known!  Oh well ... more for Mark and I:) It was fun to listen to them chat as they ate.
After dinner, they went on a Witch Hunt. Basically they found candy in the yard for their cauldron.
We dipped "Rotten Apples" in caramel and covered them with some toppings. They had to wait for them to set and take them home, which was killing some of them.
Two hours goes by quick! They played around outside for a while before parents started showing up.
Such a nice group of girls!
