Last Saturday Emmrey was in the St. Patrick's Day parade with her dance group in Fort Collins.
She was pretty ecstatic to put it mildly!
She has wanted to be in a parade for a long time:)
We got there early to find a good spot. It was a little chilly that morning but warmed up real nice by the end.
It was definitely the biggest St. Patty's parade we have ever watched (not that we typically go to many of them)
We had picked a spot in Old Town where the parade started. We thought it was perfect but realized too late that we struck out. The streets are narrower in that area and the lines got really blurred with the parade and spectators. The parents around us were pretty negligent in keeping their kids where they should be and we witnessed some CrAzY parent behavior ... and by crazy I mean obnoxious ... throwing themselves or their kid out there to get whatever was being handed out. No matter what it was or how junky ... they didn't want to be left out:)
Our girls were #79 out of 80 something entries ... so we had a while to wait to see her.
She thought they were going to be handing out flyers to spectators so she was surprised to learn they were doing a little routine. She told us dancing and walking at the same time are not as easy as you think ....I believe it!!

She pulled it off like a champ and she had a fabulous time!!
