OK

A couple of weekends ago Mark was sent to the BASS Conservation Summit in Oklahoma.

He flew out on a Friday and was back Sunday night so it was a pretty quick trip. He got to enjoy some nice Spring weather and he sent me a pic of this beautiful Magnolia tree.
He was there for meetings on BASS conservation as a representative for WGF but also got to attend some of the events for the big BASSMASTER Classic that weekend.

Mark said it was intriguing but also disgusting at the same time (think Superbowl for fishing). He just really disliked the gross commercialization of it all. There was a guy from our hometown that was in the finals which was pretty cool (not him pictured)
He did like these Bass that local school kids had painted/decorated.
Mark had a little bit of time to wander the streets of Tulsa. He was struck by the many ornate churches in the downtown area.
He had a nice trip and enjoyed what he learned at the meetings, but we were anxious to get him back home!
