Stewy unexpectedly came into our lives 6 years ago. I never imagined we would have a furry friend at our house, let alone a bunny. Bailee had a little 5th grade friend who had to bunnies that supposedly were both the same sex .... Surprise! turns out they weren't. They ended up with a litter of babies they couldn't keep. Bailee begged to take one. I thought we said NO and then one evening Mark took her over to "see" the bunnies and they show up at home with this little guy.
I heard something about "having bunnies as a kid and it would be good for the girls". Honestly I think he wanted one all along:)
So Stewy Dexter joined our family. He really has been a low maintenance pet. Although he's not as fun as a dog would be, he is so much less work and we like that (Kars would still prefer the work of a dog)
Every year we say we are going to celebrate his birthday and we never have. He was actually born in December but we didn't get him until February when he could leave his Momma. Emmrey made sure it happened this year. We brought him inside for his party! We all shared funny stories or memories of Stewy while he ran around on his blankets.
Mark tried setting him up for a photo shoot and had the girls so upset he was going to fall off the stump
He got a new litter box and Alfalfa and this gorgeous card
Emmrey even made him a Birthday cake:)
He is getting old. He is slowing down and we think he may not see like he used to. He has been a fun little furry friend and we are glad he unexpectedly came into our lives.
