Carnivals

Last month was a month of Carnivals.....The youth from church put on a carnival as a fundraiser for some of the summer activities.  Bailee was in charge of running one of the game booths along with one of the boys.  Mark was still at his conference in Mexico, so it was date night with the girls at the church.  It sounded like it could be pretty amazing, but you never know with these things.  Sometimes they get a really poor turnout or they just don't come together as imagined.  Turns out it was pretty awesome.  The girls thought it was the GREATEST!!  We bought our tickets and went crazy.

They started out the night with some face painting....can you see how thrilled Kars is?

Kars and Emm loved the cake walk and used about half their tickets playing that over and over...
...eventually Emmrey won this cake...she was thrilled!!

They may have spent the other half of their tickets at the snack bar....all the junk carnival food you could dream of;)
Bailee spent her night here at the Giant Jenga table.  This booth was a big hit [mainly for the adults].  They just didn't get as many players because each game took so long.  It got a little dangerous at times :/
 Bay and her partner David
We did steal her away for a little photo booth action....
At the end they had a raffle drawing and these two lucky gals both won a Chick-fil-A card...yum!!

The second Carnival was also a fundraiser for Deming Miller [the girls school].  It was pretty much the same concept....you purchase tickets and then use them to play games (face paint, balloons, karaoke etc) and buy junk food to your hearts delight. Personally, I think it's a great idea and the kids love it.
You could even use your tickets to get wounds, scabs and scars put on you.  Emmrey was found at that booth more than once.
Kars and her friend Cassie
It was pretty crowded in that little school.  Good for the fundraising, but bad for those that couldn't stand all the bodies anymore.
Taking a fresh air break on the front steps
These 2 were really into the fake wounds.....can ya tell?

Fun times!!
