Trackster

The 4th grade had its annual Track Meet on Monday.  Kars competed in the softball throw and 400 M dash.  She took 4th place in both...pretty impressive considering she was competing against about 20 girls.

 

Here she is getting ready to run.  I reminded her before she started that she should pace herself and save some of her energy for the end.  I was a little worried that maybe she misunderstood, when halfway around the track she was 2nd to last. But then she rounded the corner and suddenly pushed ahead to 4th place.  

She was also selected as a member of the relay team.  Each school had 2 teams of 4 girls that were chosen based off their mile time {this is her team....they ended up not doing so great...oh well!:}

Karsy is a funny kid.  She does really well at these athletic events, but does she really care.....not so much! She's not very competitive....just likes to have fun and pal around with her amigos:}
