KEBS turns #18

When the girls were little they would ask us what the year would be when they were certain ages or big events would occur. I remember hearing 2020 and thinking that sounded like a million years away. Not really a million, but far enough that we didn't need to entertain that thought too much. Well, here we are .... 2020 ... with a second adult daughter ... graduating from high school .... TURNING 18!!!  Breakfast request was burrito [gave my best NM effort] and chocolate milk [Mark grabbed her something he thought she would like even better].
Always full of surprises, she decided to eat on the deck instead of in bed.
Her supervisor at the club had contacted me the week prior and asked about doing a drive by parade in honor of her graduation. I said that would be great and even better that it would be on her birthday. She didn't know about it so we had to get her to be ready and in the front yard at 9 am. Mark was pretty genius with getting her help with a "swing repair". We thought Kars might be on to us since she was unusually patient and compliant;)
When they came down the street I could tell she genuinely had no idea what was going on ... like I had to tell her to go to the driveway. So sweet that they would do this for her. This Megan gal seems all right.
Adulthood means that you don't always get your birthday off. She went from the parade to training all day. Her dinner request was Spoons.
Of course we are still doing take out so we picked it up and ate at home.
Then it was time for gift which included. Shirts, hat, water bottle, a new Apple watch band, Slammo [spike ball], and Pura Vida bracelets from her sisters. The cards they made for her were THE BEST EVER!
 This girl ðŸ’œ
Some Slammo action after presents were opened.

She requested brownies and ice cream for her birthday treat.
So much to wish for as she enters adulthood.
We love our KEBS [Karsyn Eva Beans Smith] more than words could ever express.
