Youth Art Month is a month of promoting art and art education in the United States. Schools all over the country participate by holding Art shows exhibiting student work. Emmrey was one of about thirty kids at Eyestone who had their work selected for display.
The show was held at the Community Creative Center. We made it for the Opening Reception.
The art piece she created that was chosen was the Radial CD Design. It was so far up that wall we couldn't get a close up but it was on display for a while at the school so we got one there.
It was crazier than I thought it would be. Lots of people in a fairly small space.... but all that Art on the walls made me so happy.
Emmrey was happy when she ran into her little friend Sophie who also had a piece on display.
We talked to her Art teacher, but it didn't even occur to me to take a pic of Emm with her! She's a nice lady who seems to have way more patience than me when it comes to messes in the Art room;) It was a fun night with our little artist.
