It was a Utah Thanksgiving this year for us. We had a long day of driving. Thankfully the weather cooperated at least until the last hour of our travels. We got there in time for Bailee and Karsyn to go watch a Grizzlies game with Ashlee.
They had a great time and would have fun doing just about anything with her.
We stayed with my parents and had enjoyed three days of family time. We didn't do a whole lot of running around which was nice. We relished in the time relaxing and spending time with some of our favorite people. Bailee helped me go through tons of my parents photos.
It was so much fun! Now I have a huge scanning project in front of me:))
My parents pulled out a puzzle for us .... which we actually got finished the night before we left.
We met up with the Weaver's (to kid swap after a sleepover) at Nielsen's Frozen Custard for lunch one afternoon. Initially I was offended by the fact that they are opening these in various locations around Utah. How dare they! I mean Nielsen's is where you go in St. George ... ONLY. I wasn't put off for long. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was fun ... and it wasn't crowded ... a huge plus for me!
Thanksgiving was spent at my parents. Mark didn't want to split the day like we usually do. In years past we try to make it to both family meals and it ends up feeling like we are just running around all day. It really was enjoyable and relaxing to just stay in one place. My mom had gotten this turkey apron and she insisted someone wear it. There was no way she was going to let it go so I convinced my dad to humor her and put the darn thing on. He really didn't think it was that funny;)
It was a full house! With our size family it is always is.
We had to branch out to the living room this time to have enough seating. 
The menu was traditional with a few of our family favorites like deviled eggs and orange ice. Scott also made caramel popcorn this year. Not something you necessarily think of for Thanksgiving, but it was delicious and a big hit! Lori had brought this Turkey shaped butter mold. It was too cute to eat (although it did get eaten)
There is always good conversation at these family gatherings and we all managed to keep our cool when the recent election came up ... trust me it wasn't easy:)
My mom had us play a really fun game. It was a Thanksgiving Scattergories of sorts. You listed things you are thankful for but only got points for things nobody else listed. Among the things I am so thankful for is this crazy bunch who were good sports and put up with me trying to get a group photo. Surprisingly, we pulled it off with ease (at least by large group standards;)
