Mark got a permit to backpack into the Indian Peaks Wilderness in early August. He planned to take all the girls, but Bailee ended up not being able to go.
The permit was for the Coney Lake zone which was a 8 mile hike each way.
Kars invited her friend Taeson, who had never backpacked before.
They camped by the lake for two nights and did a lot of fishing. Everyone had success with catching several cutthroat.
Along with fishing, they played many rounds of Spot It, sat through wind storms, and stayed up late star gazing.
Mark gave them the tents and slept under a tarp.
They roasted little smokies over the stove, which was very funny to the girls.
