As soon as Thanksgiving was over we got to work on decorating our tree.
We put on A Christmas Story to set the mood.
Each ornament seems to be associated with some special memory and the girls love taking their time sharing what they remember as they find just the right spot.
During daylight hours our tree looks a little haphazard and "unglamorous".
But in the dark, when it is often the only thing lit in the house, it takes on a sort of magical glow and I can't help smiling at all the moments that are a part of that tree.
