Into the Wild

Just five days after we returned from our road trip, Mark left for a 10 day excursion in the Wind River back country.  I guess 10 days of 24/7 family time sent him running for the hills .. .. literally!!

The purpose for the trip was to sample some waters in this wilderness area that is so remote it has not been sampled for something like 25 years. It was an opportunity he couldn't pass up and no doubt he will write about his adventure and share some awesome photos at troutandtrail.blogspot.com.

They were transported via helicopter and dropped in the wild where they would spend the next 10 days hiking 10 or so miles a day and survive on only what they were able to carry in with them.

But don't feel too bad for him. Along with the exhausting work, he got to experience raw beauty that most people will never see.

  1. That is sooo cool! Not that you had to be without him at home, but what an opportunity!
