We were itching to get out and find some warmer weather. St. George was the destination. Kars got a ride to Salt Lake the day before and stayed with Ashlee & Ashley. After picking her up, we headed to my parents for a visit. It was the first time in a year we had been able to get this close to them.
Day 1-Travel day to St. George with a stop at The Creamery in Beaver for some Mac-n-Cheese:)
Day 1-Red Cliffs Preserve
Day 2-The Vortex
Dinner in the hotel lobby. We all realized we had come full circle. A year ago we were staying at this same hotel on our way to Channel Islands. The world was just beginning to shut down. We could never have imagined what we were in for. It seems like so long ago.
Petroglyphs from one of Mark's early morning hikes.
Day 3-Visiting the Ghost Town of Grafton .... so cool!!
Grafton was a historic Mormon settlement along the Virgin River.
We took a drive into Zion. There was snow!!
The tickets for the shuttle were sold out so unfortunately we couldn't do the Canyon Scenic Drive.
I thought what we saw was pretty scenic. It was a real treat to see snow covered Zion.
Dinner at Iceberg. This was the mini shake.
A little R&R at the pool
Day 4-Red Mountain OverlookWe stopped in Santaquin on the way home.
An overnight stay in Logan before leaving our Beans to finish out her spring semester.
